Job summary

Muskego Health & Rehab, Muskego, Wisconsin, seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team during a period of growth and transformation. This role offers an opportunity to guide nursing operations and develop a strong leadership team.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license.
• Previous nursing leadership experience.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and survey processes.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be visible throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all nursing operations within the facility
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain nursing leadership and frontline staff
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Oversee clinical systems, policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Monitor quality measures and clinical outcomes and implement improvement initiatives
• Partner closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team
• Prepare for and successfully manage surveys and regulatory visits
• Manage staffing and nursing resources while maintaining high standards of care
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and team members

What You’ll Do
