Job summary

Progressive Care Center in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Director of Nursing. This full-time day position (8:00–16:30) requires an RN and prefers candidates with Long Term Care experience. You will report to the facility administrator and lead nursing services across the unit. Occasional on-call duties may apply.

The DON will oversee nursing operations, supervise the ADN, RN Unit Managers and floor staff, and ensure survey readiness while coordinating education and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Progressive Care Center, a 48-bed skilled short-term nursing rehab facility committed to top-notch resident-centered care in a therapeutic environment conducive to a high quality of life, is seeking a Director of Nursing.

The DON is responsible for overall nursing services administration. Applicant must be an RN. Experience in Long Term Care preferred. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for assisting and supervising the Assistant Director of Nursing, RN Unit Managers, all other executive nurses and floor staff. This position will require occasional on-call duty, and is responsible for corrective actions, survey preparedness, and education of floor staff. Other duties could be assigned as well. Will report directly to the administrator of the facility and will have support and assistance provided by our Director of Senior Care.
