Job summary

Arcadia Care in Jacksonville, IL is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the Nursing Department, ensuring quality care in strict compliance with federal, state, and local standards. The DON will plan, organize, and direct daily operations across shifts and collaborate with other resident services to maintain a comprehensive care regimen.

The role requires a nursing degree and an Illinois RN license, with a preference for at least three years of supervisory healthcare leadership

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensure enough licensed practical and/or registered nurses; Certified Nursing Assistants; medications; and safety equipment are available and utilized in the proper manner for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained.
