Job summary

The Oaks at Flower Mound, part of Greenbrier Senior Living, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the clinical team in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities in Flower Mound, TX. You will oversee resident care, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality outcomes with a compassionate leadership style.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
• Leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or Long-Term Care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Texas Assisted Living regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical operations for the Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods.
• Ensure compliance with all Texas state regulations, federal requirements, and community policies.
• Complete and oversee resident assessments, care plans, and ongoing clinical evaluations.
• Monitor resident health status and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented.
• Supervise, coach, and support the nursing team, medication aides, and caregivers.
• Participate in pre-admission assessments to ensure appropriate resident placement.
• Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, hospice agencies, home health providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Review and update resident care plans as needed based on changes in condition.
• Ensure accurate medication management and documentation practices.
• Assist residents in scheduling medical, dental, and specialty appointments when needed.
• Maintain infection prevention and control practices throughout the community.
• Participate in staff training, competency evaluations, and continuing education initiatives.
• Ensure emergency preparedness procedures are followed during drills and actual emergencies.
• Partner with department leaders to promote exceptional resident care and customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

What We're Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
• Previous leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or Long-Term Care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Texas Assisted Living regulations.
• Excellent assessment, care planning, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional resident care.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
