Job summary

Easterseals Chicago is seeking a Director of Nonpublic Schools, Education, and Clinical Services to lead the three Easterseals Academy campuses—Chicago, Tinley Park, and Machesney Park—and supervise principals and cross-campus leadership to advance student independence and staff effectiveness.

This role emphasizes ISBE compliance, data-informed decision-making, strategic growth, and budget oversight, with weekly campus presence and collaboration across the Academy leadership team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• Principal endorsement strongly preferred.
• Director of Special Education endorsement strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a nonpublic school or traditional district setting.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience coaching and mentoring school-based teams, including principals.
• Experience supporting students with significant disability-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise school principals and cross-Academy leadership team.
• Collaborate with principals to refine the Academy vision, goals, and strategies.
• Promote data-informed decision-making across campuses.
• Ensure ISBE and local district compliance across all campuses.
• Oversee day-to-day Academy stability and leadership support.
• Partner with leadership to drive program growth and quality improvement.
