Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Director/Principal Motion Designer to define our motion language across product and brand. You will lead complex, global motion initiatives, guiding engineers and designers from concept to shipped experiences.

You'll refine micro-interactions, craft editorial motion for campaigns, and mentor teams while partnering with product, brand, and marketing to raise the quality bar and drive cohesive storytelling across Expedia's platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Motion, HCI, User Experience, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5–10+ years of experience in product design or related disciplines, including leadership of large-scale teams.
• Proven ability to define and drive organization-level customer experience strategy.
• Experience leading AI/ML-enabled product design efforts.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners at senior levels.
• Experience mentoring designers and building motion capability across an organization.
• Experience delivering engineering-ready motion specs across iOS, Android, and web.
