Job summary

Expedia Group seeks a Director/Principal Motion Designer to define our motion language and elevate product and brand storytelling through polished UI motion. You will shape transitions, micro-interactions, and editorial motion for campaigns while collaborating closely with product, brand, and engineering teams.

You will also lead and mentor across the design organization, ensuring motion specs are engineering-ready and aligned with overall strategy and creative direction.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in UI motion design with a polished product animation portfolio.
• Ability to create engineering-ready motion specs for iOS, Android, and web.
• Strong storytelling, timing, rhythm, and craft in motion.
• Experience prototyping and collaborating with product, brand, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Expedia Motion language with principles and guidelines.
• Design UI motion for product including transitions, micro-interactions, state changes, loading moments.
• Bridge design and engineering by writing clear motion specs and coordinating with engineers.
• Create editorial and promotional motion like brand films and sizzle reels and guide production.
