Job summary

Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Director of Medical Staff Services to lead the Medical Staff Services Department, ensuring credentialing, quality improvement, and administrative operations align with board mandates. This role focuses on standards, compliance, and staff development.

You will oversee daily operations, implement standards for credentialing and QA, and provide expert guidance to hospital leadership while resolving sensitive personnel and physician matters,

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BNBS degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years' management experience in a Medical Staff Services or Credentialing setting.
• Excellent computer experience required.
• Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is required.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation and other regulatory standards required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Medical Staff Services Department and support the organized medical staff as mandated by the Hospital's Board of Trustees.
• Establish, contribute to, and implement standards for medical staff credentialing, quality improvement, and administrative functions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and provide consultative guidance to Medical Staff and hospital leadership on permissible actions.
• Arbitrate issues between physicians and the Hospital and supervise a professional support staff in administering medical staff services.
