Job summary

Focused Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Director in the United States to design, build, and lead the Mechanical Engineering department. You will oversee end-to-end mechanical capability, manage budgets, headcount, and governance across multiple delivery programs.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience building, structuring, and scaling engineering organizations.
• Strong background across full mechanical engineering lifecycle: concept, supplier manufacturing, assembly, testing, and handover.
• Experience establishing formal design review cadences and engineering release standards.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the Mechanical Engineering department's structure, headcount, budget forecasts, and capacity across programs.
• Lead peer Chief Mechanical Engineers and capability leads, with clear accountability.
• Establish manufacturing and supplier capabilities early for design-for-manufacture readiness.
