Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Director of Materials Management to provide leadership for the Distribution Department, developing goals, policies and budgets, supervising activities, and managing budgets to support patient care across the system.

The role emphasizes process improvement, cost containment, and service excellence while collaborating with Finance, Purchasing and clinical leaders to optimize supply chain performance for Vanderbilt University Medical Center locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 7+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience in logistics, materials management, and academic medical centers preferred.
• Experience with budget development and cost containment required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals and objectives for the department based on policy and institutional goals.
• Plan to achieve departmental goals and set priorities aligned with the institution.
• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets for the unit.
• Coordinate daily activities across central supply and receiving areas.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of products across Vanderbilt Health.
