Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; business admin preferred.
• Certification as NM State Purchasing Officer due within 6 months.
• 3+ years in purchasing, distribution and inventory in healthcare.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Materials Management Dept operations, policies, standards and performance.
• Supervise department caregivers: hiring, training, scheduling, discipline, evaluation.
• Lead department and organization-wide supply chain improvement projects.
• Maintain vendor access and pricing for high-cost supplies and implants.
• Lead vendor contract negotiations ensuring quality and value.
• Conduct business reviews with stakeholders to identify cost savings and improvements.
• Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers to meet cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Develop sourcing strategies across product categories and manage cost savings plans.
• Collaborate with directors to improve supply utilization organization-wide.
• Research and approve new supplies and equipment for departments.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and correct patient billing.
