Job summary

Petco is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve the marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, CDP, and data platforms. You will define a long‑range technology strategy for marketing and engagement, lead architecture across Salesforce and Adobe clouds, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

You will drive customer data strategy, lead engineering teams, and maintain hands‑on involvement when needed to optimize platform performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred for senior roles.
• 12+ years of experience in marketing technology and platform engineering is expected.
• Experience with CRM, CDP, and marketing automation platforms is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the MarTech ecosystem (CRM, CDP, data platforms).
• Define and execute long-range technology strategy for marketing and engagement platforms.
• Lead architecture and integration across Salesforce, Adobe and related systems.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Data, and Engineering to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Drive customer data strategy including identity resolution and segmentation.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams delivering complex MarTech and CRM solutions.
• Remain hands-on when needed—configuring platforms and optimizing performance.
• Establish best practices for marketing automation and customer journeys.
• Oversee integrations across MarTech, CRM, and eCommerce platforms.
• Define and execute build vs. buy strategies with custom tools and APIs.
• Use data to drive continuous optimization and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate on roadmaps, priorities, and delivery plans.
