Job summary

Jackson State University is seeking a Director of Marketing, Recruitment, and Student Placement within the College of Health Sciences. The role leads strategic marketing, recruitment, student placement, and outreach to advance visibility and growth of programs.

The Director will collaborate with the Dean, program leadership, faculty, staff, and partners to coordinate efforts that promote student success, experiential learning, and career opportunities for BSPH, MPH, DrPH, and related programs.

Qualifications

• Requires a master's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and recruitment strategies for undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Engage diverse stakeholders, including health departments, government agencies, medical centers and hospitals.
• Proficiency in social media marketing strategies and content marketing.
• Represent and promote the College of Health Sciences at events and recruitment activities.
• Engage prospective and new students and coordinate orientation activities.
• Develop partnerships with healthcare, public health, education, social service, community, clinical services, and professional organizations.
• Identify practicum, internship, clinical training, and career placement opportunities for students.
• Advocate for the College's programs and promote student success, career pathways and opportunities.
• Collaborate with program leadership, faculty and staff to support recruitment, experiential learning, career development and placement.
• Collect and analyze data on recruitment, enrollment, partnerships, and student placement to assess outcomes and inform improvements.
• Perform other duties in support of the College's strategic priorities.
