Job summary

Humanities Washington seeks a Director of Marketing & Advancement to shape branding, storytelling, and revenue generation across Washington state. You’ll lead a curious, collaborative team and partner with funders to grow support for humanities programs.

You’ll supervise the Fundraising Manager and hire a new Business Development & Partnerships Manager, driving earned revenue and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and execute marketing and fundraising strategies.
• Experience building brand narratives and audience growth across multiple channels.
• Strong leadership and collaborative skills to manage a small, high-functioning team.

Responsibilities

• Define marketing and brand strategy for Humanities Washington across channels.
• Lead revenue initiatives and supervise fundraising and partnerships efforts.
• Grow audience reach, including video, podcasts, and new media, statewide.
• Oversee team performance and partner with program staff to measure impact.
