Join Us

As a Director on the Market Access team, you will lead the consulting efforts of a diverse range of market access and commercialization issues, such as launch/market planning, coverage/coding/policy considerations, pricing/distribution considerations, engagement and communication strategy, and sales force effectiveness needs across commercial and public payers (Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid), PBMs, health systems, and other organized healthcare stakeholders. ADVI advises on how our clients’ products and services fit within the coverage and reimbursement landscape across benefit categories and help our clients optimize coverage, patient access, and appropriate reimbursement for their products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships - understanding client needs, managing expectations, and providing exceptional service
  • Serve as the day-to-day client lead on multiple clients and projects
  • Set direction and manage the day-to-day work of Manager(s) and Associate(s) assigned to an engagement;
  • Lead internal and advisor teams to drive client deliverables to completion within expected timelines and within budget
  • Oversee and/or conduct primary and secondary market research to address client/project objectives
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the markets and policies/legislation/regulations relevant to ADVI and ADVI’s clients and develop actionable and strategic insights
  • Manage and/or sell a set dollar amount of sales and deliver a set dollar amount of revenue per fiscal year (i.e., business development responsibilities)
  • Develop and mentor junior members on his/her project teams
  • Oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of consulting projects, within timelines, project quality and budget expectations
  • Creates client ready or nearly-client ready deliverables clearly communicating complex research findings
  • Delivers expected operational and financial performance, contributing to ADVI's overall success (based on individual sales goal and revenue goal)
  • Establishes highly performing teams across projects and clients; leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Managers and Associates
  • Develops a client offering, creating and enhancing core assets that contribute to ADVI's competitive advantage by identifying new opportunities, markets, and clients
  • Expands the depth of relationships within clients and across the industry, contributing to the visibility and impact of ADVI's brand
  • Creates tailored solutions for clients incorporating current market trends, policy changes and industry expertise
  • Meaningfully contributes to the culture, training and development of ADVI staff
  • Commands one or more areas of expertise important to ADVI’s business
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise, playing the role of trusted advisor - providing expert advice and guidance – to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new subject areas and solve complex problems with minimal-to-moderate supervision
  • Proactive and deadline driven
  • Anticipates and addresses project needs, effectively thinking through client objectives during research and deliverable creation
  • Works independently to deliver high quality, complex research within expected timelines
  • Analyzes industry reports, publications, policy proposals, legislation, and regulations to develop subject matter expertise within industry trends and market changes
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, creating maximum leverage while effectively balancing project priorities and delivering quality

Skills

  • Ability to communicate complicated concepts in a clear, concise and simple manner so that stakeholders within and outside of ADVI can understand; communication demonstrates strategic thinking
  • Strong familiarity with pharmaceutical/device/diagnostic/biotech manufacturers structures, cultures, and processes
  • Ability to find creative solutions to client challenges and the flexibility to handle the unpredictable
  • Identification of ways to streamline operations, increase productivity, and building revenue
  • Ability to manage large teams effectively to meet deadlines, both client-driven and internal
  • Proactive about anticipating possible roadblocks, time delays, resource constraints etc. and factoring into ability to meet deadlines.

Education

  • Advanced degree preferred; advanced degree may be substituted with work experience

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or precision medicine consulting, preferably in a managerial or leadership role with a proven track record of delivering successful projects and expanding the client base
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry
  • Experience with leading and developing teams

Location

Candidates can be based anywhere in the U.S., with a preference for those operating in the Eastern or Central Standard Time Zone. Candidates based in Washington, DC or Austin, TX, will have the option of hybrid work arrangements.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $165,000 to $220,000 with up to 20% bonus potential, depending on experience and qualifications. Exceptionally qualified candidates will be evaluated according to experience levels.Please include your salary requirements with your application if they exceed the posted range.
