Job summary

Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC in Spokane, WA is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead North American production sites. This is a senior role for an experienced leader of industrial automation equipment and engineered systems, coordinating engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and delivery.

The Director will drive safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost performance while scaling capacity and developing operations leaders across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in manufacturing, operations, or plant leadership.
• At least 7 years in manufacturing leadership with direct performance responsibility.
• Experience in industrial automation, robotics, machinery, or engineered capital equipment.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across production, quality, planning, and supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of ERP, MRP, production planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations across the company's production facilities.
• Set standards for safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Improve transfer of products from engineering into manufacturing.
• Increase capacity while maintaining quality, delivery, and customer performance.
• Improve on-time delivery, lead times, throughput, and gross margin.
• Strengthen production planning, scheduling, capacity planning, and WIP control.
• Manage components, suppliers, and long-lead materials with procurement and supply chain.
• Establish scalable processes for high-mix, engineered-to-order automation products.
• Support new product introduction and design-for-manufacture initiatives.
• Improve collaboration across sales, engineering, project management, procurement, and manufacturing.
• Lead recovery plans for delayed or important projects.
• Establish clear manufacturing KPIs and performance-management practices.
• Develop plant managers, production managers, and operational teams.
• Assist in facility expansion, automation investment, and capital planning.
• Partner with executives on manufacturing strategy and long-term growth.
