Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking a Director of Managed Care Contracting to lead enterprise contracting across hospital, ancillary, and employed physician services. You will develop strategies, perform financial modeling, and negotiate terms with major payers to protect and enhance net revenue.

You will collaborate with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Population Health, and clinical leaders, guiding a team to execute negotiations, monitor performance, and implement contract terms across the organization.

Qualifications

• Seven years of managed-care contracting experience within a hospital, health system or payer org.
• Three years of supervisory or management experience leading contracting, payer relations or financial analysis staff.
• Demonstrated track record of negotiating rates, terms and contract language with major commercial and Medicare Advantage payers.
• Experience developing and defending financial models and reimbursement analyses in support of payer negotiations.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, recommend, and execute Augusta Health’s enterprise managed care contracting strategy.
• Lead negotiations of rates, terms and contract language for hospital and employed physician agreements.
• Direct the financial modeling and contract performance analysis process.
• Ensure contract terms are implemented and monitored for performance and compliance.
• Coordinate with external consultants and internal leadership to align strategies and improve net revenue.
