USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial is seeking a Maintenance Director to supervise a team of maintenance technicians and volunteers, oversee restoration and preservation projects, and manage budgets for a large historic facility.
The role requires strong leadership across multiple trades, coordination of contractors, and a focus on safety, OSHA/EPA compliance, and emergency preparedness for staff and the public.
Supervise all Maintenance Technicians within the Maintenance Department. Develop budgets and project lists for the Maintenance Department. Oversee maintenance, repair, and renovation projects by both full-time and part-time staff and volunteers. Maintain electrical power and lighting systems. Ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA rules by all maintenance and volunteer staff. Serve as back-up to the Assistant Director on all maintenance, repair, and safety-related tasks, including leading emergency preparedness efforts.

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
AND
three (3) years of progressive experience in facility maintenance or construction including journey level experience in at least three (3) building or mechanical trades;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
