Global Growth Industries is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to lead maintenance, facilities, and asset-management operations across its expanding store portfolio. You will drive the maintenance strategy, oversee field teams, and manage budgets and vendor partnerships.

The role requires overseeing preventative maintenance programs, capital projects, and adherence to regulatory standards across a multi-site retail environment, with emphasis on petroleum/fuel systems expertise

Competenze

• Progressive experience in facilities, maintenance, field service, or asset management.
• Leadership experience overseeing maintenance ops across districts, markets, or states.
• Experience in convenience store, fuel retail, or travel center sectors.
• Proven ability to manage internal teams and external vendors.

A growing, multi-location convenience retail organization is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to lead maintenance, facilities, and asset-management operations across its expanding store portfolio.

This senior leadership position will be responsible for developing and executing the maintenance strategy required to support a high-volume, geographically dispersed retail operation. The Director of Maintenance will oversee field maintenance teams, vendor partnerships, preventative maintenance programs, capital projects, budgets, regulatory compliance, and the long-term performance of critical store assets and equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience leading maintenance or facilities operations within a multi-site retail, convenience store, fuel retail, or similarly distributed operating environment. Experience overseeing both general maintenance and petroleum/fuel systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for maintenance and facilities operations across a multi-location retail portfolio.
• Lead, develop, and support field maintenance personnel, including general maintenance technicians, petroleum technicians, supervisors, managers, and/or third-party service providers.
• Establish consistent maintenance standards, procedures, KPIs, and service expectations across all markets and locations.
• Develop and execute comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance programs designed to increase equipment uptime, extend asset life, reduce emergency repairs, and control operating costs.
• Oversee maintenance and capital budgets, approve expenditures, monitor performance against budget, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
• Negotiate vendor pricing, service agreements, scopes of work, and contracts while ensuring appropriate service levels and cost controls.
• Develop vendor-management strategies that balance internal technician capabilities with outsourced service providers.
• Oversee maintenance and repair programs involving building systems, HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, commercial foodservice equipment, refrigeration, petroleum/fuel systems, lighting, signage, and other critical store infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience in facilities, maintenance, field service, or asset management, preferably within a multi-site retail environment.
• Previous leadership experience overseeing maintenance operations across multiple districts, markets, regions, or states.
• Strong preference for experience within the convenience store, fuel retail or travel center
• Demonstrated experience managing both internal maintenance teams and external vendors/contractors.
• Experience developing and managing significant operating and capital budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple capital projects and competing operational priorities simultaneously.
• Strong vendor-management, contract-negotiation, and cost-control experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial building systems and equipment, including HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, foodservice equipment, and general facility maintenance.
• Petroleum/fuel equipment and UST-related maintenance experience strongly preferred.
