The Director is an attorney-led division leadership role requiring active Texas bar membership. The AAG V–VI range reflects a senior assistant attorney general with supervisory responsibility and specialized subject-matter authority — appropriate for a Division director who manages a multi-disciplinary team and represents the Office on eDiscovery issues in meet-and-confer conferences and court proceedings.
Performs advanced to highly advanced supervisory legal work, providing strategic and operational leadership over all Division functions for the Office's Civil Litigation divisions. As a licensed attorney, the Director bridges legal strategy and technology — making defensible decisions about eDiscovery scope and proportionality, overseeing privilege-review workflow design, advising on discovery disputes, and ensuring Division operations align with the legal obligations and tactical objectives of the trial teams the Division serves.
