Job description

Director of Lifecycle Marketing

Draper, UT, United States

Full Time

About Redo:

Redo is the all-in-one e-commerce platform for DTC brands. We help merchants run every step after the click, from checkout optimization and order management to package protection, returns, customer support, and marketing. Thousands of brands on Shopify, BigCommerce, CommentSold, and Salesforce Commerce use Redo, with order management reaching channels like Walmart, TikTok, and Faire, and our coverage model is free to merchants, so we win when they win.

We're a venture-backed team of over 350, organized into product clouds, each run like its own business. We're the fastest-growing company in Utah and one of the fastest-growing in the nation. We've made four acquisitions in the last 18 months and are investing heavily in AI-native commerce. Every role at Redo, from engineering to sales, is expected to build AI into how the work gets done.

We work together in person at our headquarters in our headquarters in Draper, Utah.

Position overview:

We are looking for a 0-1 lifecycle marketer to join Redo and own how we engage merchants across every stage of their journey. You'll own and drive the email, in‑app, and SMS strategy for prospecting, activation, onboarding, cross‑sell, and long‑term retention. You'll be measured on email pipeline and new business from the database, time‑to‑value for new merchants, multi‑product adoption, and retention. You'll start hands‑on, building the first programs yourself, then build the team as we continue to scale. A separate marketing operations role owns the systems and data. You own the programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Turn the prospect database into pipeline. Own email strategy and implementation: nurture by segment and stage, reactivation of stalled and closed‑lost deals, offers and announcements, and air cover for outbound.

  • Arm the growth teams. Work with sales leadership so marketing email and rep outreach run as one motion rather than two inboxes competing for the same merchant. Give reps the triggers, content, and timing that make their next touch land.

  • Shorten time‑to‑value for every new merchant. Design the journey from install or signed contract through first value for every product: what we send, when, and what we ask of the merchant. Partner with product, sales, and post‑sales to build a single onboarding experience.

  • Drive multi‑product adoption. Build the programs that take a merchant from one product to two and three: usage‑triggered campaigns, product education, and launch communications to the base. Work with product marketing to put the right next product in front of the right merchant at the right time.

  • Turn product signals into action. Work with product, customer teams, and RevOps to define the events, segments, and triggers behind lifecycle programs. Make sure the data is useful before building automation around it.

  • Build the customer marketing engine. Reviews, references, case studies, and the merchant communications (product updates, newsletters, and events) that make customers feel like they're on the inside and willing to say so publicly.

  • Set the standard for email at Redo. Own the template, voice, cadence, and quality bar for every email, SMS, and in‑app message that leaves marketing.

  • Measure what matters.Define the metric for every program and report on it: pipeline from the database, time‑to‑value, attach, retention, and win‑back. Build the experimentation engine and testing roadmap to optimize and drive results.

  • Build the team.Hire and develop lifecycle and customer marketers as the programs prove out.

Qualifications
  • 7 - 10 years in B2B SaaS lifecycle, customer, or email marketing, with at least 3 years owning programs end to end.

  • You've built lifecycle programs from scratch, not inherited them. Onboarding, adoption, and expansion journeys you designed and can show results from.

  • You've worked both sides of the funnel: prospect nurture that produced pipeline and customer programs that moved retention or expansion.

  • You work close to revenue. You can point to pipeline, attach, or net retention you moved.

  • You know how to make email, SMS, and other communications that merchants open and act on.

  • Player-coach. You'll build the first programs yourself while hiring the team around you.

  • AI fluency. You already use modern AI tools to research, write, and ship faster.

Preferred qualifications:
  • You've built or scaled lifecycle marketing at a high‑growth startup, ideally through a stage like ours (roughly $10M to $100M+ in revenue).

  • Ecommerce, Shopify ecosystem, or merchant‑facing SaaS experience.

  • You've run an expansion motion on a multi‑product platform and know what gets a customer to buy the second product.

  • You've used product usage data to trigger campaigns, not just send dates.

  • Hands‑on with HubSpot, Marketo, or similar. You can build a journey yourself.

  • You've built reference, review, or advocacy programs.

  • You've hired and managed lifecycle or customer marketers.

Benefits and Perks:
  • Competitive equity

  • Medical coverage from $20/month, plus dental, vision, and $50K company‑paid life insurance

  • Up to $2,400/year in company HSA contributions

  • Up to 12 weeks fully paid parental leave for birthing parents; 4 weeks for non‑birthing parents

  • $100/month childcare reimbursement

  • Flexible PTO plus 7 company holidays

  • 24/7 on‑site gym with showers, pickleball, basketball, sauna, and cold plunge

  • Free dinner Monday to Thursday, Friday lunch, and a fully stocked break room

  • $100/month to spend with Redo merchants, plus monthly on‑site perks

  • Office minutes from biking and running trails

This role is fully in office at our Draper, Utah headquarters, 5 days a week.
