Regent Santa Monica Beach, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, seeks a Director of Learning & Development to design and implement training for an ultra-luxury hotel team. Lead programs to elevate service standards and align with Forbes 5-star expectations.

Collaborate with management, HR and department heads to assess needs, develop tailored modules, and deliver engaging sessions, onboarding, and ongoing development.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Hospitality, or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in learning and development, preferably in hospitality or ultra-luxury settings.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

The Director of Learning & Development will be responsible for creating and implementing training and development programs for team members of an ultra-luxury hotel. The specialist will identify areas where team members need to improve their skills, knowledge, and behavior to ensure the highest level of service delivery. The incumbent will work closely with management to develop and deliver training programs that enhance team members’ skills and knowledge and align with the organization's objectives.

A little bit about your day:

• Develop and implement learning and development programs that meet the needs of the ultra-luxury hotel's team members.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify areas where team members need to improve their skills, knowledge, and behavior to deliver exceptional customer service compliant with Forbes 5-star standards.
• Collaborate with department managers to determine training needs and develop tailored training programs for each department.
• Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and other learning experiences that are engaging, interactive, and aligned with the hotel's values and standards.
• Develop and deliver new employee orientation programs that ensure new hires are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
• Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, job aids, and e-learning courses.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by conducting post-training assessments and surveys.
• Keep up to datewith industry trends and incorporate best practices into the hotel's learning and development programs.
• Collaborate with HR to develop career development plans for team members.

What we need from you:

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Hospitality, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a learning and development role, preferably in the hospitality industry or ultra-luxury setting.
• Experience developing and delivering training programs for diverse employee groups.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for continuous learning and development.
