Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in Nashville is seeking a Director, Knowledge Management & Innovation to lead KM & Innovation across global business units, partnering with practice leadership to advance knowledge sharing, AI-enabled service delivery, and operational excellence.

You will build and mentor a multidisciplinary team, drive change through adoption of modern legal technologies, measure impact with KPIs, and promote collaboration across the firm to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school with significant legal practice experience.
• Experience in knowledge management or legal operations roles, preferably in a large law firm.
• Proven leadership in building and developing teams, coaching, and organizational development.
• Ability to influence partners and senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Deep understanding of legal tech, AI, document automation, CLM, and matter intelligence solutions.
• Experience leading organizational change, pilot programs, and technology adoption.

Responsabilités

• Lead KM & Innovation strategy and drive long-term vision and investment.
• Collaborate with practice group leaders to align KM/Innovation with firm strategy.
• Serve as strategic advisor on technology, process improvements, and staffing.
• Establish KPIs and provide reporting to leadership.
• Mentor and manage multidisciplinary teams across offices.
• Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the firm.
• Promote KM/Innovation capabilities through client engagement and external networking.
• Develop training programs and cross-functional knowledge-sharing initiatives.
