HAT, a rapidly growing designer and manufacturer of ergonomic office products, seeks a Director of IT Strategy to be the primary IT partner for senior leadership. Translate business priorities into integrated technology roadmaps, investment plans and accountable implementations that drive the business.

This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, overseeing scalable and secure systems, ERP alignment, and a cross-functional digital transformation program while managing budgets

Qualifications

7–10+ years of progressive IT leadership with strategy and delivery responsibilities.
Experience leading technology initiatives, system integrations and ERP programs.
Proven ability to manage IT teams, vendors and external partners.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, own and maintain the IT roadmap aligned with milestones and budgets.

Description

The Director of IT Strategy will act as the primary strategic IT partner for the Senior and Extended Leadership teams, translating business priorities into integrated technology roadmaps, investment plans, and lead IT accountability for timely implementations required to support and drive the business.

This is very much both a strategic AND hands-on leader and must be comfortable switching between the two modes. It involves overseeing the development of scalable, secure, and efficient systems, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders across the company. It collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement the overall digital transformation strategy.

In addition, the role will oversee and manage the existing IT team and Managed Service Provider (MSP) and ensure all required infrastructure runs smoothly and effectively. This includes the oversight of an asset management / deployment system, ensuring robust and secure company intranet / internet, oversight of all IT infrastructure and proactive management of the department budget.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, own and maintain the IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with key organizational milestones, business priorities, enterprise platforms, and budget planning.
Define and lead prioritization of technology initiatives across the entire Company, balancing business demand, regulatory requirements, resource capacity, vendor dependencies, and enterprise standards.
Develop business cases for major technology investments, including expected value, risks of non-delivery, implementation approach, dependencies, and ongoing support considerations
Align IT strategy with product roadmaps, regulatory requirements, and commercialization goals.
Evaluate emerging technologies in all facets of the organization, including full use of our existing ERP systems, AI, software, employee experience, etc . and subsequently ensure alignment around the design, development and implementation of said digital transformation.
Partner with business leadership to identify technology opportunities that improve operational effectiveness, customer engagement, data-driven decision-making, and scalability.
Influence and align stakeholders across IT, Sales, Operations, Quality, Finance, and external partners.
Ensure timely and thorough implementation of the aforementioned transformation items.

What We’re Looking For

7–10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with increasing responsibility for technology strategy, systems, infrastructure, and/or digital transformation.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and demonstrated leadership may be considered
Experience leading technology implementations, digital transformation, system integrations, ERP initiatives or other enterprise-wide technology projects from planning through successful implementation.
Experience managing IT teams, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), technology vendors, and external partners, including service levels, performance, contracts and accountability.
Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required.
