Job summary

Ajaia is seeking a Director of IT & Security to own internal IT operations, security posture, and compliance across a multi-cloud, multi-country organization. This hands-on leadership role will build and maintain systems, policies, and infrastructure enabling secure, automated operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in IT ops, security, cloud, or compliance.
• Hands-on with multi-cloud environments (GCP & Azure).
• Experience with HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance and audits.
• Experience building security policies, access controls, and incident response.
• Strong identity management (SSO, MFA, RBAC) and network security basics.
• Proficiency with AI tools and automation to reduce operational burden.
• Excellent documentation and communication for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Own internal IT operations, security posture, and compliance across the org.
• Develop and enforce security policies, access controls, and incident response procedures.
• Lead automation initiatives using AI tools to improve monitoring and efficiency.
• Manage multi-cloud environments (GCP and Azure) and support audits.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and translate security concepts for non-technical teams.
• Prepare for external audits and maintain compliance documentation.
