Job summary

Field AI, headquartered in Irvine, CA, seeks a Director of IT, Infrastructure & Security to own IT operations, security, and compliance. You will lead a small IT team, manage MSP relationships, and partner with Engineering, Legal, Sales, and Executives to keep Field AI secure, compliant, and productive.

The role requires a hands-on leader comfortable with Linux environments, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Jira, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT, infrastructure, or security leadership experience in a high-growth tech company.
• Hands-on experience driving SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, or CMMC programs.
• Strong network and cloud security knowledge; CISSP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Ability to communicate risk to engineers and executives in plain terms.
• Experience managing MSP/MSSP partnerships and vendor risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT operations, security, and compliance programs end-to-end.
• Oversee network infrastructure, endpoints, and asset lifecycle across sites.
• Maintain and mature SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 programs; drive audits.
• Own corporate security controls: IAM, MFA, patching, EDR, SIEM/SOC coordination.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Sales, and Executives on risk-aware decisions.
