Job Description:
Peakhill is seeking an individual to focus on institutional, family office and retail investors across both debt and equity strategies. Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following activities:
- Work with partners to design and execute a comprehensive investor relations and capital raising strategy with measurable, results-oriented goals, to source capital for Peakhill’s upcoming funds,
- Identify, connect with, and cultivate new investors beyond Peakhill’s existing network of investors, as well nurture existing investor relationships,
- Responding to investor information requests, supporting, and delivering on capital raising and client service activities,
- Development of expertise on Peakhill’s investment capabilities and products. Prepare presentation and collateral materials to facilitate communications with existing and prospective investors,
- Maintain a strong knowledge of industry trends and share insights gained with investors and internal stakeholders,
- Act as the primary point of contact for all investor relations matters,
- Develop and coordinate the preparation of presentations and other documents to prospective new investors and clients,
- Preparation, review and distribution of external communication materials, including press releases corporate presentations, and quarterly materials to investors, analysts, media and other members of the financial services community.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a highly dynamic and entrepreneurial setting and meet the following qualifications:
- A successful fundraising track record within private funds and/or registered funds and deep knowledge of the alternative asset management industry required; knowledge of real estate, infrastructure and/or private equity preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a similar Business Development or Capital Raising role with demonstrated success in raising assets for a Hedge Fund, Alternative Investment Firm or Family Office
- Clear grasp of the high-net-worth and intermediary investor community (RIAs, Private Banks, Wirehouses, broker dealers and OCIO) and be able to participate and drive a coordinated sales process and collaborate with various internal business groups to achieve capital raising objectives,
- A basic understanding of real estate transactions, underwriting and terminology, and of legal and tax implications of various real estate investment structures,
- Highly motivated, proactive self-starter with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment,
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the presence and confidence to interact with senior executives and investors and represent Peakhill at investor conferences,
- Basic financial modeling skills (Excel) is an asset,
- Experience in investor relations, client service, and investment banking
- Extensive experience creating and editing fundraising presentations, DDQs, RFPs, and marketing and communication documents,
- Established relationships with HNW, RIA's and institutional investors in private markets.
- Sales or financial industry designations (such as Series 7 or Series 63) are a plus,
- Industry credentials including: CAIA, CFA, MBA, or CPA preferred
