DLA Piper in the United States is seeking a Director of Internal Communications to lead a strategic function, partnering with senior executives to advance firm priorities and strengthen engagement across global offices.

The role heads the Internal Communications team, developing a cohesive strategy, elevating written quality, and using technology to improve speed and impact of messaging across intranet, town halls, emails, videos, and campaigns.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience developing strategy and producing high-quality internal communications content in professional environments.
Experience working with C-suite or senior leaders in complex, global or matrixed organizations.
Proven ability to lead large-scale organizational change communication programs.
Background in journalism, writing, PR, marketing, or corporate communications.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage internal communications aligned with business objectives and firm culture.
Lead and evolve a sophisticated internal communications team coordinating with Public Relations, Marketing, and related teams.
Develop narratives, messaging frameworks, and campaigns supporting firm priorities.
Advise partners and administrative leaders on strategic communications planning and executive messaging.
Align internal and external messaging across channels.
