Job summary

DBI/David Brown International is seeking a Director of Interior Design to lead growth across the Pacific Northwest. This client-facing role focuses on building business, shaping market strategy, and guiding talented teams to success across complex projects.

You will rely on 10+ years of leadership and BD experience, strong Pacific Northwest relationships, and exceptional communication to generate opportunities and exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 10+ years of leadership experience within a highly regarded design firm.
• 10+ years of successful business development experience.
• Strong relationships and market knowledge within the Pacific Northwest.
• Proven ability to generate opportunities and build executive-level client relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and pursuit leadership skills.
• Certified Interior Designer credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm’s interior design growth strategy across the Pacific Northwest.
• Develop relationships with owners, developers, investors, builders, and industry partners.
• Identify new opportunities and guide major pursuits from initial contact through project delivery.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on interior design, procurement, and project execution.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
• Mentor designers and project leaders in client engagement and business development; help strengthen a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team culture.

Compensation

$158,000 per year
