Job summary

WHAT WE’RE SEEKING

We are looking for a Director of Instruction who can build and lead Topgolf's golf instruction platform at their venue, driving lesson volume, developing Lead Instructors, and creating programming that keeps guests coming back to grow their game. THE ROLE

The Director of Instruction leads all golf instruction programming at the venue, overseeing individual and group lessons, leagues, tournaments, player development series, and summer camps. This role is responsible for growing the instruction platform through exceptional teaching, community outreach, and partnership with the events team. The Director of Instruction also manages and develops Lead Instructors, oversees club fitting and equipment maintenance, manages the golf services budget, and leverages swing analysis technology and teaching aids to deliver best-in-class learning experiences. As a leader of a high-energy, guest-facing venue, this role requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with availability to work extended hours during peak periods, special events, and high-volume seasons.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Coordinate, schedule, and deliver individual and group golf lessons for guests of all skill levels
  • Utilize swing analysis technology, launch monitors, and teaching aids in all instruction programs

  • Supervise information requests related to lesson schedules and instructional series
  • Develop and implement player development series ideas that drive engagement and repeat visits
  • Manage and develop coaching and sales skills in Lead Instructors
  • Build a team of instructors who deliver consistent, high-quality guest experiences
  • Hold instructors accountable for lesson quality, scheduling, and guest satisfaction
  • Manage club fitting, club repair, and general maintenance of golf equipment
