About the Role

The Director of Institutional Data Analytics provides strategic leadership, management, and technical oversight for institutional reporting and analytics serving the University of South Carolina and its extended campuses. This role leads the Analytics and Data Governance team in the Division of IT, partnering with university leadership and governance groups to deliver reliable, actionable data and enterprise reporting solutions. The director also drives innovation in analytics, supports data governance and security, and promotes data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Analytics and Data Governance team.
• Direct the implementation and maintenance of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions for the university and its extended campuses.
• Partner with university leadership, academic units, governance groups, and other stakeholders to identify needs and translate them into effective solutions.
• Modernize the institution's analytics capabilities.

• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Project Management Professional (PMP) - Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible experience in institutional research, business intelligence, analytics, data management, or related fields.
