Job summary

JBAndrews is seeking a Director of Installation – Data Centers to lead the delivery of its prefabricated data center infrastructure across a portfolio of projects. Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience within construction, installation or project delivery.
• Strong background as a Project Manager delivering complex field-based projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects and Project Managers simultaneously.
• Exposure to data centers, mission-critical construction, prefabricated systems, structural steel or specialist installation projects would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of site execution, subcontractor coordination, project schedules and customer management.

Responsibilities

• Leading the data center installation and project delivery operation across the region.
• Managing and developing a team of Project Managers responsible for a high volume of concurrent projects.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Providing senior-level oversight across multiple active customer sites.

• Working closely with internal Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing and commercial stakeholders.
• Establishing consistent project management and installation processes as the data center business grows.
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers, general contractors and site stakeholders.
• Travelling approximately 40% to project locations.

Director of Installation – Data Centers

JBAndrews is retained by an established North American manufacturer of engineered steel infrastructure that is continuing to expand its presence within the rapidly growing data center market. They are now looking for a Director of Installation – Data Centers to lead the project management and field delivery of their prefabricated data center infrastructure across a significant portfolio of projects.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the successful delivery of data center installation projects from handover through completion, providing leadership across project management, site execution and customer delivery.

This is a senior operational leadership role overseeing approximately $300m of project activity, managing an experienced Project Management team and ensuring multiple concurrent installations are delivered safely, efficiently and successfully across customer sites.

The Requirements

We are particularly interested in experienced project and installation leaders who have progressed from successfully managing projects in the field into broader operational leadership positions.

Ideally, you will bring:

• 10+ years' experience within construction, installation or project delivery.
• A strong personal background as a Project Manager delivering complex field-based projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects and Project Managers simultaneously.
• Exposure to data centers, mission-critical construction, prefabricated systems, structural steel or specialist installation projects would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of site execution, subcontractor coordination, project schedules and customer management.
• The ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with a significant number of concurrent projects.
• A practical, hands-on leadership style and the credibility to work effectively with both field teams and senior stakeholders.
• A reputation for being open-minded, resilient and respected.
• A degree is not essential; relevant project delivery experience is considerably more important.
