Director of Infrastructure and Operations (Remote)

We are currently hiring a Director of Infrastructure and Operations to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved!

This role is a work from home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or from our corporate office in Utah. There will be occasional travel for corporate office visits, conferences, vendor meetings, or data center visits.

You Are: A motivated and experienced professional ready to take the next step in your technology career. As the Director of Infrastructure and Operations, you will be responsible for leading the IT infrastructure and operations team, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the company’s IT systems. This role oversees network infrastructure, cloud services, data centers, ITSM operations, while driving efficiency, reliability, and innovation in IT service delivery.

What You’ll Do:

1. Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure and operations to align with business objectives.
2. Lead and manage teams responsible for networks, cloud infrastructure, data centers and IT service management.
3. Execute Cloud Migration Journey and exit out of data centers.
4. Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
5. Hold high standards for achieving availability of all teams.
6. Ensure timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
7. Work closely with Information security team to implement IT security policies and best practices to protect company data and systems.
8. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) for IT infrastructure services.
9. Monitor and optimize IT infrastructure costs while identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
10. Support compliance teams to ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, such as SOC 2, PCI I, SOX etc.
11. Lead the adoption of cloud computing, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and agility.
12. Collaborate with various business units to understand requirements and deliver IT solutions that support growth and operational excellence.
13. Mentor and develop IT teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
2. 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. Strong knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT systems.
4. AWS experience preferred.
5. Experience managing data centers, virtualization, and IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
6. Proven track record of achieving 99.99% availability of critical systems and applications.
7. Proven track record in leading and delivering large-scale IT projects.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
9. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
10. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management related to IT infrastructure.
11. Experience managing SRE teams.
12. Experience running Command Center is a must.
13. Experience running L2 support teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, AWS/Azure certifications).
2. Experience with DevOps, automation, and AI-driven IT operations.
3. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern IT service delivery models.
