Job summary

Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences seeks an innovative Director of Industry Alliances to lead strategic engagement with industry partners. The role builds collaborations across the Sciences Division and external organizations to advance research, education, talent development, and technology translation.

Reporting to the Dean, the Director will translate scientific priorities into compelling partnership concepts, manage a high-value portfolio, and coordinate with research

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in industry relations, research partnerships, or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing relationships with corporate, scientific, philanthropic, or other external partners.
• Experience working with scientists, researchers, academic leaders, or technical professionals in a complex organization.
• MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for faculty seeking to expand industry relationships.
• Translate research strengths into partnership concepts for external audiences.
• Develop and implement an industry engagement strategy for the Division of Science.
• Identify opportunities for collaborations across various sectors.
• Build and manage a portfolio of high-value industry relationships from engagement to renewal.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and execution of partnerships.
