Job summary

North Carolina State University is hiring a Director of Industry Engagement & Career Development to lead career services for the College of Sciences. The director builds a student-centered career program for undergraduate and graduate science students, from career coaching to employer and alumni partnerships.

It reports to the Associate Dean for College Success and Well-Being and serves students in six science departments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading campus career services or equivalent program.
• Ability to build partnerships with employers, alumni, and industry.
• Demonstrated success using data to inform program improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a student-centered career program for Sciences undergrad and grad students.
• Provide career coaching and programs for exploration, grad school prep, and workforce readiness.
• Build employer, industry, alumni, and research partnerships to expand internships and experiential learning.
• Run workshops, networking events, and employer panels for STEM career pathways.
• Oversee operations, budgeting, assessment, reporting, and analyze career outcomes data.
