Job summary

Bowie State University is seeking an Assistant Director for Disability Support Services to promote accessibility and compliance across the university. You will support the Director, help design programs and trainings, and oversee data collection and reporting for the department.

The role includes collaborating with faculty, staff, and external agencies to implement best practices in accommodation and services for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

Knowledge of ADA and Rehabilitation Act provisions governing services for students with disabilities.
Ability to review psychoeducational evaluations and documentation for accommodations.
Experience with technology support tools and assistive technologies.

Responsibilities

Ensure accessibility of programs, services and activities in compliance with applicable laws.
Develop training and services; present workshops for faculty, staff and students.
Assist with data collection, reporting, and program assessment.
Collaborate with Residence Life to implement housing accommodations.
