Job summary

Nia Tero seeks a Director of Impact to lead learning, evaluation, and information management across the organization. You will shape how we measure progress toward strategic goals, align teams, and communicate impact with integrity and cultural respect.

The role emphasizes data stewardship, dashboards, and collaborative leadership to strengthen Indigenous guardianship efforts and organizational learning worldwide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in organizational strategy, impact evaluation, or learning.
• Experience with Indigenous Peoples, community-based contexts, or global nonprofits.
• Knowledge of strategy development and performance management.
• Experience designing dashboards and impact reporting for complex organizations.
• Understanding of data governance, confidentiality and data sovereignty.
• Fluency in English; cross-cultural communication skills required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead impact evaluation and learning approaches aligned to strategy and values.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to track progress and reporting.
• Develop dashboards, narratives, and executive summaries for internal and external audiences.
• Foster organizational learning, templates, and shared routines.
• Serve as a thought partner to leadership, funders, and partners.
