Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Director of Cyber Security Engineering to spearhead IAM and security engineering programs across cloud and on‑prem environments. This role directs teams delivering authentication, identity governance, and access controls in a fast-paced enterprise.

You will collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, HR, Engineering, and Compliance to shape a comprehensive IAM roadmap aligned with business goals, budgets, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in IT security or 11 years with a High School/GED.
• Experience in two or more security domains listed in the requirements.
• Proven ability to influence at executive levels and manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to financial decisions and leading cross-functional teams.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time, within and outside the state.

Responsibilities

• Directly leads IAM and cybersecurity engineering programs across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Provides technical leadership for authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, and governance.
• Oversees SSO/MFA, federation, andZero Trust controls across platforms.
• Supports modernization and strategy across IAM landscape and tooling.
• Collaborates with Security, Infra, HR, Engineering, Compliance to align IAM roadmap with budget.
