Job summary

Pulse-39fddc75 is seeking an Mechanical HVAC & Plumbing Engineering Manager to lead a design team delivering high-quality HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. You will guide standards, drive project success, and mentor staff for growth.

The role requires 4+ years in mechanical engineering (HVAC/plumbing) and 3–5 years in management, with strong knowledge of codes, LEED, and building automation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering with focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• 3-5 years of management or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculations, duct design, and piping systems.
• Experience with commercial, institutional, or industrial building systems.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP).
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, ASPE, IMC, IPC, IBC and NFPA).
• Understanding of building automation systems and controls.
• Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams.
• Experience managing client relationships and presenting to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Develop and refine design standards, procedures, and quality control for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Oversee multiple projects from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with architects, structural, and electrical engineers; interface with project managers on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support proposals and client presentations; pursue project opportunities and relationships with vendors.
