Sagis, PLLC seeks a Director of Human Resources in Houston, TX, to lead HR strategy and operations for a physician-led pathology lab. This in-person, full-time role requires a 4-year degree and 10+ years HR experience with 5 in leadership, preferably in healthcare.

You will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR analytics, shaping culture and ensuring regulatory alignment while attracting top talent to support growth.

Qualifications

Job Details: Level: Management, Job Location: Main Lab Houston - Houston, TX, Position Type: Director, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Salary Range: $130000.00 - $160000.00Salary/year, Travel Percentage: Negligible, Job Shift: Full Time, Job Category: Human Resources, Sagis, PLLC is an entirely physician-led sub-specialty pathology group supported by a CAP-accredited histology lab located in the heart of Houston, Texas. Led by a team of board-certified pathologists, our lab is at the forefront of diagnostic science. We offer the highest quality services to physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals. One of our many strengths is we develop strong collaborative relationships with each of our referring physicians by offering accurate, prompt, and clear diagnoses in a personal and customized manner.

The Director of Human Resources, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with our organization's goals and foster a positive work culture. You will lead the HR function, oversee employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and other HR-related activities. • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the organization's mission, values, and strategic objectives
• Oversee the entire HR function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Lead and manage a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to promote their growth and development
• Drive the recruitment and selection process, ensuring we attract and hire highly qualified candidates while adhering to fair and inclusive practices
• Develop and maintain effective employee relations programs, policies, and procedures to foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns and grievances
• Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement performance management systems, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development plans.
• Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness, equity, and compliance
• Payroll and 401(k) Administration
• Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and best practices, proactively addressing any HR-related legal issues or concerns
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HR, implementing innovative solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement
• Provide guidance and support to senior leadership on HR-related matters, recommending strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent
• Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports, identifying trends and providing insights to support data-driven decision-making

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare or medical facility setting
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable
