Allure of Zion is seeking a dedicated Director of Human Resources/Payroll to lead the HR department, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist in budgeting for the facility.

This full-time role reports to management, with hours 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday in Zion, Illinois. The position requires HR administration experience and a solid understanding of nursing facility laws and PBJ filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred
• Minimum 2 years' HR Administration experience
• Solid knowledge of personnel laws in nursing care facilities

Responsabilités

• Direct and oversee the HR department operations
• Review payroll and PBJ filings; ensure compliance
• Maintain personnel records per regulations
• Ensure hiring and discharge procedures comply with policies
• Conduct employee background checks
• Orient new personnel on policies, payroll, safety, and procedures
• Counsel/discipline staff as needed
• Coordinate all-staff trainings (OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary:

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Human Resources/Payroll to join our team at Allure of Zion! As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for directing the human resources department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and assisting in the development of department budgets. Regular Full Time, Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the HR department
• Review and process payroll and submit Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) filings
• Maintain an adequate personnel record filing system that meets the needs of the facility and complies with current employment practices
• Ensure hiring/discharge procedures are in compliance with established procedures and policies
• Conduct employee background checks in accordance with our facility's established procedures
• Orient new personnel to facility and explain personnel policies, procedures, payroll procedures, safety procedures, grievance procedures, etc.
• Counsel/discipline personnel as requested or as necessary
• Schedule all-staff in-servicing through the year for mandatory training (OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred, but not required
• Minimum 2 years' experience in HR Administration, preferred
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning personnel administration in nursing care facilities

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
