Job description

Are you a strategic leader who thrives in high-performance environments and enjoys transforming human resources into a cornerstone of organizational success?

Do you find fulfillment in fostering a workplace culture that values integrity, growth, and achieving results under pressure?

Are you ready to take on the challenge of scaling HR functions as a firm expands across new markets and grows its workforce?

Can you effectively balance hands-on HR tasks with strategic planning, continuously improving and innovating in a fast-paced legal landscape?

Final question: When faced with a challenge, do you get excited or run away?

Demand The Limits Personal Injury Attorneys is a dedicated law firm with a unique mission to serve individuals who have suffered personal injuries. Founded with the client in mind, we operate on a promise to challenge the limits of traditional personal injury law by providing genuine human connection and unwavering dedication.

With offices strategically located in Boca Raton and Orlando, our firm handles a wide range of complex cases, including auto accidents, medical malpractice, and catastrophic injury claims. Our attorneys, supported by a skilled team, have successfully recovered over $120 million for our clients, consistently exceeding expectations through empathy, transparency, and a relentless focus on justice system integrity. We emphasize trust and communication, ensuring our clients feel supported throughout their legal journey.

Our Core Values

At Demand The Limits, our core values are more than words on a wall. They serve as a North Star for how we work, make decisions, lead, and hold ourselves and one another accountable.

Say it straight — truth over fluff.

It won't be pretty — trust, passion, and grit, especially when it's hard.

How we get there matters — results matter, but integrity matters more.

Every second counts — time is limited, be intentional.

Execute, execute, execute — take action.

Never ring the bell — show up; consistency is our edge.

Do simple better — stick to the fundamentals.

Demand the limits of yourself and others, on purpose.

The Director of Human Resources at Demand The Limits will play a pivotal role in strengthening our organizational infrastructure as we continue to grow. This position is critical for developing and implementing effective HR strategies that foster a positive, efficient workplace while adapting to the evolving needs of our expanding firm. The Director will support our mission by ensuring that our people practices align with our core values and contribute to achieving our strategic goals.

What you’ll do:
  • HR Leadership: Own and lead the daily HR functions, including systems management and HR administration across the organization.
  • Talent Acquisition: Initially own and support active recruiting needs while learning the organization. As the HR function evolves, help identify, hire, and develop dedicated recruiting support so that day-to-day talent acquisition can transition appropriately while remaining under HR leadership.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with HR vendors and oversee benefits administration including medical, dental, and retirement plans.
  • Performance Management: Lead the performance review process, ensuring timely and constructive evaluations across the firm.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted resource for employees at all levels, addressing concerns and mediating conflicts.
  • Culture Building: Embed and reinforce our core values throughout all HR activities, fostering an inclusive and motivated workplace.
  • Strategic Development: Partner with executive leadership to guide the people strategy, ensuring scalability and continuous improvement.
  • Location Support: Regularly travel between Boca Raton and Orlando offices to maintain a visible presence and support multi-location operations.
What we’re looking for:
  • HR Experience: Minimum of 10 years in HR, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred for enhanced credibility.
  • Certification: PHR/SPHR preferred, enhancing professional knowledge and credibility.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in legal or high-performance environments, adept at navigating strong personalities and high accountability.
  • Cultural Fit: Strong alignment with firm values, including a growth mindset and integrity-driven results.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS, familiar with platforms like Paylocity, and experience with recruiting tools like LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Personal Traits: Highly proactive, trustworthy, and personable with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels. Adaptable to diverse and dynamic environments.
  • Grit and Resilience: Demonstrated resilience and tenacity in demanding work settings, comfortable under pressure.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of how HR decisions affect financial performance, productivity, risk, operations, and other departments. Able to balance employee needs with the broader interests and goals of the business.
Why you should work here:
  • Visible Impact: Work directly with firm founders, making significant contributions to our people policies and organizational development.
  • Leadership Opportunity: Autonomy to craft HR strategies and build a responsive HR team that scales with firm growth.
  • Core Values: Engage in a culture that prioritizes continuous improvement, transparency, and meaningful work.
  • Supportive Environment: Benefit from mentorship and development opportunities, with access to HR leadership coaching from seasoned experts.
  • Comprehensive Insurance: 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees, demonstrating our commitment to your wellbeing.
  • Generous PTO: 15 days of PTO annually, plus paid holidays, fostering work-life balance.
  • Retirement Plan: Participate in our 401(k) with a 3% safe harbor contribution and potential profit sharing, supporting future financial security.
  • In-Office Leadership Presence: This role is based primarily in our Boca Raton office and requires a visible, hands-on presence with our team. The Director should also expect regular interaction with and periodic travel to our Orlando office.
  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for career advancement as the firm expands, along with educational support and leadership development programs.
