Rocket EMS, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead and modernize the HR function across our growing manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will develop HR strategy and execute, challenge existing practices, and build strong relationships with executives, managers, and employees.

Manufacturing experience and HR transformation leadership are strongly preferred. The role reports to executive leadership and requires strong analytic and people leadership

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required.
• Advanced degree in a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant HR leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years leading HR teams and/or a substantial HR function.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, automotive, or another complex operational environment.
• Experience improving, restructuring, or modernizing an HR organization or function.
• Experience supporting multiple locations and rapidly growing organizations.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Human Resources function across multiple locations.
• Assess the existing HR organization, processes, and responsibilities and implement changes to improve effectiveness and accountability.
• Establish clear roles within HR and eliminate duplication or inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement scalable HR policies, procedures, systems, and controls to support growth.
• Partner with executive leadership on organizational structure, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
• Establish job architecture, descriptions, leveling, compensation ranges, and promotion practices.
• Ensure compensation decisions are competitive and internally equitable.
• Strengthen performance management processes and accountability for managers and employees.
• Coach leaders on employee relations, performance issues, and organizational effectiveness.
• Oversee complex employee relations matters, investigations, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws (CA, NV, federal).
• Oversee onboarding, benefits, ER, performance management, training, compensation, and HRIS.
• Develop HR metrics and reporting to identify trends and support leadership decisions.
• Evaluate HR tech and processes for automation, standardization, and data integrity.
• Build and lead a high-performing HR team for a multi-site organization.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and operations to align workforce needs.
• Support organizational changes, expansions, integrations, restructurings, and strategic initiatives.
• Foster accountability, consistency, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

Formação académica

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field

Advanced degree preferred
