Job summary

Hamdenrhc is seeking an experienced HR Manager for a full-time, on-site role in Hamden, CT. You will manage payroll, benefits, and personnel records, while ensuring compliance with ADA, FMLA, FLSA and other employment laws.

You will coordinate hiring, onboarding, and employee relations, and support center operations with strong confidentiality and integrity. You will also administer benefits programs, oversee performance evaluations, and maintain center files.

• Experience with employee relations and issue resolution

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidential employee information and payroll accuracy.
• Stays updated on policies, pay practices, benefits, and employment laws.
• Coordinates hiring processes from sourcing to onboarding, including interviews and background checks.
• Administers benefits and compensation programs and liaises with benefits services.
• Monitors performance evaluation schedules and conducts annual reviews.
• Guides employees to appropriate resources for needs and requests.
• Investigates disputes and recommends corrective actions.
• Maintains personnel files and records per policy and legal standards.
• Coordinates safety, workers' compensation and recognition programs.
• Represents the center at unemployment and workers' comp hearings.
• Ensures policy compliance and participates in on-duty program.
• Performs additional duties and maintains weekly payroll accuracy.
