Job summary

Everestsearchpartners seeks a hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead the People function for a multi-site home health and hospice agency in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will own recruiting, employee relations, policy governance, compliance, and benefits operations across three regional branches, shaping talent strategy and organizational performance.

This build role requires partnering with senior leaders, implementing scalable HR processes, and ensuring California labor law compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years HR leadership with ownership of ER, compliance, and recruiting.
• Strong knowledge of California, San Francisco labor laws.
• Ability to conduct legally defensible workplace investigations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Valid California driver's license and ability to travel between branches.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting across three locations.
• Manage employee relations, investigations, and separations.
• Develop and enforce HR policies and governance.
• Maintain labor law compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
• Oversee healthcare personnel compliance and credentialing.
• Direct onboarding, benefits, and leaves administration.
• Drive workforce planning, retention strategies, and budget oversight.
