Job summary

Aperion Care Lincoln is seeking a Housekeeping Director to oversee daily operations of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The role ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable facility under direction from the Administrator and Environmental Services Director.

The candidate will manage schedules, coordinate with nursing, and supervise cleaning of fixtures, floors, and waste disposal while maintaining HIPAA guidelines and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions for cleaning chemicals.
• Must work harmoniously with staff and care for residents appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor, regardless of severity.
• Coordinate housekeeping with nursing during routine cleaning.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain fixtures and surfaces.
• Clean floors: sweeping, mopping, waxing, disinfecting.
• Dispose waste properly and relin trash receptacles.
• Protect resident privacy and report any HIPAA concerns.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE when handling chemicals.
• Use correct techniques when mixing cleaners per manufacturer instructions.
