Job summary

Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI seeks a leader to oversee the health services on campus. This senior role directs daily operations, ensures high-quality clinical care, and aligns services with university objectives and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a master's degree, nursing/health services leadership experience, and a current nurse practitioner license, with the ability to manage budgets, staff development, and confidential medical records in a campus setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a master's degree.
• Moderate amount of experience working in nursing, clinical, health services management or other related experience.
• Nurse practitioner's license.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily operations for the delivery of health services.
• Administers routine and emergency health care services to students.
• Oversees the delivery of physician and/or other medical provider services.
• Establishes and/or revises administrative, clinical and operational policies, procedures and protocols to comply with health regulations and to address students' routine and emergency health care needs.
• Maintains a secure system of confidential medical records in accordance with applicable standards of practice, state and federal laws and HIPPA guidelines.
• Manages the inventory of medical supplies, equipment and medications, including appropriate procurement, storage, security and maintenance.
• Prepares and monitors the departmental budget.
• Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned
