Position Summary

Responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of residents within the community. An RN in good standing is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws regarding clinical care.
  2. Collect, analyze, and report on occurrence trends; develop and implement improvement plans as needed.
  3. Partner with the Administrator and team to analyze and maintain residents' and staff's health and safety.
  4. Collaborate with pharmacy consultants to provide optimal pharmaceutical services.
  5. Provide clinical expertise for licensed nurses.
  6. Assist with educational presentations as assigned.
  7. Assess ongoing needs of residents and update service plans accordingly, including documentation for health status changes.
  8. Oversee monthly updates and communicate pertinent changes to responsible parties.
  9. Coordinate with other departments to review and discuss service/medication level changes.
  10. Ensure service plans are updated per state regulations.
  11. Participate in community awareness and relations activities.
  12. Maintain communication with residents' families regarding care or health concerns.
  13. Inform the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.
  14. Schedule clinical staff monthly.
  15. Ensure availability of adequate clinical supplies.
  16. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, and other staff to ensure high-quality resident care, in accordance with policies and laws.

Qualifications
  • RN or LPN in good standing; RN preferred.
  • At least 1 year in a nursing leadership role; senior living experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) certification.
