Job Title: Assisted Living Director
- Directly oversee the delivery of care to Assisted Living residents to ensure that emotional, physical, psychological, and safety needs are met through all program services and activities.
- Coordinate, along with the Executive Director, family/resident care conferences and serve as a direct liaison between residents, families, and staff. Work with residents, families, and staff to ensure appropriate levels of care.
- Manage labor costs, supplies, and other line items within the clinical budget.
- Monitor documentation systems to ensure compliance with regulatory timeframes for assessments and service plans. Write and review residents’ assessments, evaluations, and care plans with appropriate staff.
- Assess potential residents for the Assisted Living level of care, including conducting assessments in their homes or other healthcare settings as needed. Must be able to drive to assessment locations and perform evaluations professionally and timely. Conduct new resident orientations.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor staff training programs and in-services, including statutory or regulatory required training. Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Manage and coordinate the work of nursing and assisted living staff, communicating pertinent health and safety information. Oversee staff schedules and daily assignments.
- Maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and ensuring safe practices.
- Ensure compliance with all state regulatory requirements, including mandatory reporting. Complete, file, and follow up on concern and incident reports.
- Assist with and perform mock surveys as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers, adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Provide 24/7 on-call clinical support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience managing a clinical team in senior living or hospital settings.
- Licensed LPN/LVN or RN required.
- Maintain CEUs and meet other state licensing requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple high-level tasks professionally, including scheduling staff and care conferences, and maintaining communication with staff and families.
- Experience with EMR/EHR clinical documentation systems.
- Energetic, passionate, with a hospitality-focused mindset.
- Dedicated to serving seniors and developing teams.
- Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor with residents and colleagues.
- Tech-savvy with adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
- Organized, self-aware, with good time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
