Berkshire Grey seeks a Director of Hardware Engineering to lead the hardware platforms behind its robotic picking systems. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of 15-20 engineers from concept through production, addressing customer needs with scalable electromechanical solutions.

Expect deep participation in design reviews and on-site issue resolution. You will partner with program management, software and product leadership while traveling 10-20% to customer sites, and you’ll drive

Formación

• Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience developing complex electromechanical products.
• 3+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proven experience bringing products through production at scale.
• Experience with manufacturing partners and supply chains.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and manage a 15-20 person hardware engineering team.
• Collaborate with program management, software and product leadership to meet customer needs.
• Travel to customer sites domestically/internationally (10-20%).
• Work with software team to inform design of robotic pick cells and core technologies.
• Lead design reviews, verification, validation, and product releases.
• Promote engineering best practices and technical excellence.
